We meet at Safe Harbor Family Church (United Church of Christ). The address is 1445 Clinton Raymond Road, Clinton, MS 39056. We will be in the building on the right. We are following CDC guidance during the Covid pandemic, and so are maintaining social distance and wearing masks.

This month, we will be screening a film called “Call Me Malcolm,” about a transgender young man and his journey in the church. We hope you’ll join us to watch the documentary, eat some snacks, and discuss it afterward!

If you can’t make it to this meeting, please mark your calendars for the second Thursday of every month. We’ll gather monthly to share our experiences and receive support and information.
Beginning in June: Hybrid Meetings
Starting in June, our meetings will be hybrid: we’ll meet in person at Safe Harbor Family Church (United Church of Christ) and those who are not able to join in person will have the option to Zoom into the meeting. We hope you’ll join us this month and each month thereafter!

Details We are rebirthing PFLAG of Jackson after a few years of dormancy!
We plan to meet monthly at Safe Harbor Family Church in Clinton, beginning in May or June. We propose to meet every second Thursday evening of the month from 6:30-8pm, but the meeting dates/times are open to discussion depending on volunteer availability!
Invitation You are invited to engage with PFLAG at any of the following levels:
Become a board member:
President: CURRENTLY FILLED(duties include facilitating quarterly board meetings, engaging with national PFLAG office)
Secretary: (duties include taking notes at board meetings)
Treasurer:(duties include receiving membership dues ($15/year) and donations, and providing funds for monthly snacks)
Become a meeting facilitator: Lead a meeting once or twice per year
Provide snacks for monthly meetings: Bring something salty and something sweet, using PFLAG funds
Become a community events coordinator: Be on the lookout for area LGBT events and organize PFLAG’s involvement
Participate in monthly meetings: Join the group monthly to offer your experiences and support one another

We will be meeting at the church tonight and then we will caravan at 6:45pm from the church to the MRLC Interfaith Prayer Vigil – Tonight, June 14, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Tougaloo Chapel. You are all invited, we will be standing in unity with the LGBT community following the terrible attack on Saturday in Orlando. We will post a sign on our door to let anyone arriving later know where we are tonight.
In addition to our monthly meetings, we are joining with the Mississippi Safe Schools Coalition for their Adult Ally Program.
